Greetings!
Welcome to 2008! Even though I don't get a chance to sit
and crank out as many newsletters as I envision, I am all the
same thrilled to share my news, thoughts, and greetings with
all of you who continue to care for and support me and my
business. You can truly never know how much you mean to me.
Long overdue, I know, I know.. but I'm sharing some great "end
of '07" happenings from 11 West Main Street with you. If
there's one comment I always get from my emails, it's "More
photos!". So here you go.

I was glad our best customers won raffle prizes. Karen
Tougas won a flower pot full of Crabtree and Evelyn gardener's
scrubs and creams. I didn't get a shot of Colleen McComb
picking up her basket of Thymes products, but I did get a note
in the mail from her a few days later.

And for the less than 2% of Rhode Island who didn't
come and see the windows in the village, some shots of our
First Place Award Winning Elves. This was our best yet, I
think (although the mermaids last year were pretty hard to
beat!). We were tickled pink- every night there would be
families with their children (and pets, too!) actually posing
for their holiday Christmas card in front of the elves at
Beauty and the Bath.
I do need to say thank you to
Mark Messier of Smith's
Flowers in Westerly, who was so lovely and kind to loan
these little guys to us. To think, he found them in a little
antique shop down there and lovingly restored and spruced up,
they brought so many smiles to so many little ones. We
transformed them from making toys to making soap and my next
door neighbor made the best little workshop out of pine,
topped off with a shingled roof. My dream of wanting to have
elves making soap in the window come to fruition. Check that
off the list!
