Now that the hustle and mayhem of the last two weeks are over it occurred to me; fall is here!

As I was grabbing my jean jacket and favorite worn out boots I remembered this is such a great time of year.

Flea markets, brisk morning walks, leaf- peeping and apple picking - who doesn't love a season you can dress in layers?

September marked a very special birthday for a very special person... Kim turned 50 (no one believes it I know, but guys- she showed me her driver's liscense!!) and did we bring her birthday in with a bang! We celebrated in a house on the ocean in Cape Porpoise- which is in Kennebunkport, Maine. It was very special, like she says "Best friends in one of the most beautiful places in the world... what's better than that?!?!!" Lobsters, champagne, home- made sushi (Stevie B rocks!)- and so many laughs... here's only a few of the pictures I could show in this email!

Just for kicks, I had to show you some shots of a wonderful day in Newport at this year's Jazz Festival. Sometimes Rhode Islanders need to be reminded of what a beautiful place we call home. Chris Botti (pitter patter) headlined the last day and my sister and I ran in to him just by chance as we left the show. He really is a doll. No wonder Ms. Couric is smitten with him!!

If you attended my 10th anniversary celebration you'd remember my friend Maribeth McNair was in the back of the store offering tarot card readings to guests.
