Aah....January. Finally, a chance to sit down and think about nothing for a while? Au contraire, my friend. This is the time of year my optimistic self gets revved. I'm a big believer that diets can only start on Mondays, birthdays are great days to start new good habits, and that a new year holds endless possibilites... I'm all about new beginnings. So, that said, there's "big plans" set for '06. The shop is going to get a much needed face lift as well as our website. As for me, I've decided to dream big. Set lofty goals, buy high heels and let the fantasy inspire me.
After all, who keeps resolutions? Like I'm really going to learn to play the acoustic guitar. But yes, I will stick with my pilates and spinning classes. (I am addicted!). That's not what it's about. It's about the intention to improve. So, I'm currently residing on cloud nine with stars in my eyes and vivid visions of grandeur swimming through my head. Not a bad way to look at things.

First Fridays!!! We're alive after five!
First Friday February is set for the 3rd. Since Susan at the Different Drummer turns 60 on Groundhog Day.. it's extra special. They'll be having a birthday sale as Maria Day and her crew entertain party goers!! Snacks and drinks, of course as well. She's working on the invite and I'll pass it along.
Over at our place, it's 20% off storewide and we'll have lots of samples to give out. Kim will be doing hand treatments again (it feels soooo good). Come by for a cocktail or a bite.

We're getting ready to spruce the store up for you... so please know we'll be closed, next week from Monday - Thursday. If you desperately need something, call the shop and we'll try to help you out. Wait 'til you see the renovations! Then the following week, I'll be traveling to the gift show to find some treasures !! Check back when we're open and thanks again for an amazing 2005.
