Hello, everyone!
What a hoppin' month July was! Both at the shop and in my personal world. One of my dearest gal pals, Tammie got married last weekend and it was a whirlwind of celebrations and emotions........
Yes, we've all been bridesmaids a million times and it should be a wearing experience by now but I think being a little older puts everything in a different light. It seems like little things don't bother you (like donning the official bridesmaid "costume", I call it, because it always ends up in the Halloween costume trunk!) and you tend to see the big picture a little clearer. She planned everything to a T and it made all of us so happy to see the bride having truly the best day of her life. So much fun and dancing, laughing and crying!!
 
What made Tammie's wedding especially touching and bittersweet was the fact that she lost her cousin, Captain Christopher Cash, in Iraq one month to the day before her wedding (Army Times Memorial ). The ceremony was dedicated to Chris. Everything is put into perspective when you know someone personally whose family has paid the ultimate price in this war.

On a lighter note, I'm trying to hold on to summer with both hands, never to let it wane!! Oh to be able to flip-flop everywhere you go and still appear chic and appropriate all-year-round, now that would be a gift!! Since love often blossoms in the summer, isn't it appropriate that August is Romance Awareness Month?
