Happy Holidays, Everyone!
Beauty & the Bath is open late throughout the holiday season! 10am-8pm Everyday!
Wow, we are definitely in the "groove" of the holiday hustle and bustle. I've finally found a moment to catch my breath and update you all on what's happening here at the shop.
First of all , the Pajama Party this year was such an overwhelming success! Thanks to all of you who came and patiently waited to check out and especially those who brought a book. I donated about 100 books to Forest Park and you all played such a big part!! The feedback was tremendous. the food, the massages, the wrapping, the goodie bags and all of the surprises you stumbled upon. I'm so glad to see you enjoyed it as much as me and my hardworking helpers did.

Hooray!! We won first-place in the Wickford Window Decorating Contest!!
In one window....."Have you been naughty?"
We had our famous Dirty Girl hanging out of the shower, trying to get to the phone after a seemingly crazy night.. her martini glass spilt, boxer shorts on the lamp.. her life in the usual chaotic state of the diva that she is..with a banner across that reads "Have you been naughty?"
And in the next window........."Or nice?"
You see her there in pearls and conservative Crabtree nightwear, soaking her feet by the crackling fire, a cute little kitty next to her rocking chair tangled up in the spool of yarn she's using to knit (probably a turtleneck sweater for her friend in the church choir!) A cup of tea by her side and a sign on the fireplace that reads "Or nice?"
B&B Makes Strong Showing
At Mews Road Race!
Last month, Doreen Furtado ( my great friend who comes back every Christmas to help out..even though she has a "real" job and doesn't have to) did the 5th Annual Gear and Beer 5K Road Race sponsored by the Mews Tavern. After the race, they had a raffle and a buffet to benefit the South Kingstown Fireman's relief fund. We had a great time and boy, did I win a lot of gear! I won a Rolling Rock Cruiser bicycle, a grill, a golf bag filled with tee shirts and hats and Doreen won gear, too. Mom and I did buy a lot of tickets, she's always very lucky, and it was for a good cause!
Lots to Give..Lots to Get!

We're chock full of sleepwear..but don't wait too long if you want the right size and style!

Just in.. featured on this year's Oprah's Favorite Things ...Lollia
LOLLIA LIFESTYLE COLLECTION
The Lollia Lifestyle Collection hand creams and foaming bubble baths, in the Breathe and Relax fragrances, were created by designer Margot Elena. The Lollia Breathe fragrance is a combination of peony and white lily; Relax is an uplifting combination of lavender and honey. Both bubbling baths have essential oils (avocado oil) and nourishing properties (shea butter, olive oil and vitamin A), providing a beautiful scent while immediately giving the skin a smooth and silky feel. The Breathe and Relax hand creams include extra milk and honey, adding important nutrients to dry skin, while generous soy extracts are an important ingredient that maintains the moisturizing properties in the skin.

This holiday season, try not to worry about the importance of the perception of the details: that perfect tree, the most sumptuous meal, an elaborate party, extravagantly wrapped presents. As we race through this busy holiday season, keep the "comfort and joy" alive in your holidays this year by giving yourself a much-deserved break from time to time. Take your expectations down a notch. Concentrate on the fun, family, and friends. Plan small gatherings, lunches with girlfriends, a pj party with the family in front of the tree, a drive around the neighborhood gasping over the lighted decorations. These smaller celebrations will be the memories you truly come to cherish the rest of your life.
Have a very happy holiday season and thank you so much for your patronage throughout the year!

See you at the store! Lori
